I have always wondered, do pop-rock stars who endorse certain products actually consume these said products? Actually, no, I have never wondered such a thing, I know they don’t! Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Faith Hill, Ozzy Osbourne, Janet Jackson, David Bowie, Mariah Carey, Tina Turner, Ray Charles, Shakira and Kanye West probably don’t drink Pepsi although they have all signed huge contracts with the giant soft drink company.

Does Jay-Z exclusively use Microsoft? Of course not, but he should because he got $2 million from the company to promote his book in 2010. Does 50 Cent drink Glaceau drinks?… again he should after the $95.5 million profit he got from them. And does Justin Bieber really use nail polish? This is the most ridiculous one, but believe it or not, the teen idol collaborated with OPI, designed his own ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ nail polish and made millions.

You got the idea, music stars received huge deals for certain products but I bet they don’t even consume them. However there is much worst, some of these products are actually bad, bad at so many levels that they should be ashamed to be greased by such trash! But this has never stopped them a bit.

These days, everyone knows about the obesity epidemic, the type 2 diabetes crisis, and, if you can forgive the 50s-60s rock stars, how can Kayne West, Janet Jackson, and Beyonce ignore that a can of Pepsi contains 41 grams (12 teaspoons) of sugar? Actually they don’t ignore it at all, and I am going to prove it in a few minutes, but they choose to close their eyes when they see the fat check. Although the African-American community is the most affected by these obesity-related health problems, African-American rock-pop-rap stars continue to endorse products that kill their own community.

These Pepsi cans with Beyonce’s face on them are simply criminal, they beg to be picked by 13-year-old girls desperately wanting to look like Beyonce! However the diva is being beyond hypocrite. Just last week, her backstage needs during her current tour were revealed by the Daily Star, and beside the outrageous $1,000 titanium drinking straws used to drink a special alkaline water served at exactly 21 degrees (WTF?), the hand-carved ice balls to suck on, and the new toilet seat and red toilet paper for her royal ass, there is a strict ‘no junk food’ policy and ‘a strict green-only policy when it comes to salad bar nibbles’. So certainly no Pepsi!

What kind of message is she sending? No junk sugar for my hot bod, but everybody else should gorge themselves on that poison to bring me that big money from all that sugar? It’s true, you’re gonna say they all do that and I am always picking on Beyonce! Yes, but by partnering with Michelle Obama in her anti-obesity Let’s Move! Campaign, she has reached another level of hypocrisy right there.

The possibilities are endless, Beyonce could have done a really healthy endorsement like the one below (done by Jason Mraz and MC Flow), but yeah, these sweet sweet $50 millions are difficult to resist.
