You should check out the youtube where Wavvves (aka Nate Williams) (triple vv optional) drummer leaves the band mid concert never to return.
I spent the weekend obsessing over the band and if they had been playing in Manhattan instead of in Brooklyn (wtf -yeah, when you are 90 years old tell your kids how you once played Brooklyn: see how impressed they’ll be) I’d be kicking myself for not going to Friday’s gig.
Till the young dopes on punk make it to the bright lights, big city, I just invested my last dime on Wavvves eponymous (I hate that word -I’m never gonna use it again unless I am reviewing REM’s Eponymous) album from last year -which I missed the first time round. Wavvves are so good even Mary Magpie loves em!!!
