This No Age concert at Levitt Pavilion in MacArthur Park was damned epic! At the end of their set, Randy Randall and Dean Allen Spunt were joined on stage by Keith Morris and Chuck Dukowski, for a sort of Black Flag reunion and a wild ride of six songs,…. I’m not exactly sure of the number, it was too chaotic and I was just trying to survive and take some footage.
As everyone can imagine, the crowd became really excited at the idea of this new ‘No Flag’ band, and it was just the culmination of an evening that had begun with the hardcore energy of Ceremony and continued with the punk intensity of No Age. Keith Morris did his usual thing, jumping and screaming like a rabid animal, and Chuck Dukowski seemed to enjoy himself so much, it was laughable. People were stage diving in series despite the disapproval of the security guards, who had kind of given up at this point.
After the set, people rushed on stage to fight for the setlist, and the concert organizers gave away these awesome posters just above my head, so that I almost died crushed by a thousand guys who wanted one.
‘We don’t do this that often’ said Morris,… sure, everyone knew this, it was only for one night and it was awesome.
Setlist of the Black Flag songs:
