Sure, these two had to produce something together,… actually haven’t they done it before? With that Target Christmas song? Yes, but this time it is for Wavves’ upcoming 6-track EP ‘Life Sux’, which will feature another collaboration with Fucked Up on ‘Destroy’.
Last week, Nathan Williams leaked ‘I Wanna Be Dave Grohl’, and now it is time for the second track ‘Nodding Off’, featuring his girlfriend Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast on back up vocals.
The songs starts with a lot of distortions that last during the whole thing in the background, then Nathan and his upbeat-sunny vocals show up, very soon accompanied by Bethany’s ooo-ooo-ooohs. It’s very catchy at the first listening, in a summery way, but the repetitive line ‘God is nodding off’ sounds quite optimistic for the King of the Beach.
