New Music Week Of November 22nd, 2010: Pas de Deux -by Iman Lababedi

Toninght, I’m Fucking You (feat Kudacris)  – Enrique Iglesias – You know how everybody says Cee Lo’s  is how you use the “f” word in a song? This useless product is how you don’t.
American Dream – Rocky Loves Emily – Fairly tedious teen pop product.
As She’s Walking Away From Me  (feat Alan Jackson) – Zac Brown Band – Just because you put a fiddler on your track don’t make you bluegrass and just because Alan Jackson sings on your song, don’t meant you don’t suck.
Airborn Aquarium – Curren$y – The man’s got flow but the sample ain’t much and the song doesn’t stick.
Light Up The Night – The Black Eyed Peas – Either BEP are holding back on their knock out punches or they haven’t written them.
Rollerblades – Eliza Doolittle – Claiming  you aren’t stealing your schtick off Lily Allen doesn’t mean you aren’t stealing your schtick offLily Allen.
Getting Ready For Christmas – Paul Simon –  “In the day I work my day job and at night I work my night…”  If there was a Paul Simon software to write a Paul Simon Christmas song, this is what it would spit out.
Start It Up (feat Kanye West)- Lloyd Banks – If there was EVER a week the rest of hip hop shoulda taken off this is that. It’s Ok, West hijacks it and the sample is excellent. But cmon, everybody is listening Dark Fantasy.
Fly (feat Rihanna) – Nicki Minaj – See above, plus this is just awful. An abysmal chick song.
Machine Shop – Kevin Greenspon – Two intensely beautiful instruments perform a pas de deux in a fuzzy bliss. TRACK OF THE WEEK.

Save Yourself, I’ll Hold Them Back – My Chemical Romance – Great, great title. It makes tyou wish it was as good as “I’m Not Alright (I Promise)” or “Dead” or “Na Na Na Na Na Na Na” for that matter.
