One of my fave albums of the past decade has been Los Campesinos. One of the reasons I started this website was after seeing Titus Andronicus and Los Campesinos at Bowery Ballroom and just being so excited by it I wanted to stop people in the street and tell them… I figured there was less chance of getting arrested if I started a website.
BUT
Romance Is Boring wasn't a great album and I went to see them at Irving, and they were a drag.
So the news that they are back with the perfectly titled Hello Sadness finds me mixed with hope and fear. I can't take another 40 minutes where "There Are Listed Buildings" is top man.
On the third hand… at their worst, the band is better than most (but, I swear, not the last time I saw em)… so perfect, so bitter…
