A new concert has just been added in the Hollywood Bowl summer schedule, and it sounds like a mini indie festival. Just look at this line-up!
TV on the Radio, Arctic Monkeys, Panda Bear, Warpaint and Smith Westerns are all going to play on September 25th at the famous bowl.
The five bands have an album to promote, since TV on the Radio and Panda Bear, respectively dropped their critically acclaimed ‘Nine Types of Light’ and ‘Tomboy’ just a few weeks ago, Arctic Monkeys’ ‘Suck It and See’ will be released this week, Warpaint’s released ‘The Fool’ at the end of last year, and Smith Westerns did the same thing on January with ‘Dye It Blonde’.
Quite a program! With so much musical diversity, from the bright 60s-influenced pop of the Smith Westerns, to the more complex and brilliant rock of TV on the Radio, to the multi-layered circle harmonies of Panda Bear. I just wonder how long each band is gonna play, probably not very long, but at the end, everybody should be satisfied.
These tickets are gonna go fast, and they will be on sale June 18 at hollywoodbowl.com or at the box office.
