1977? Is it possible that its been 35 years? Lets face it the Sex Pistols were a miracle band. They would never have made it today and yet they changed the face of music as we know it across the board. Their timing was amazing, the 'who you know's were impressive and for some cosmic reason they 'made it' and their legend lives as urban legend. I dare to say they're more popular now then they were in their day.
"Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols" celebrates this massive milestone with a mega super duper box set that will feature original music, live footage and pictures plus other swag tucked in so you don't feel ripped off.
Demo studio recordings from 1977 are also part of the package with 'Belesen Was a Gas' and six other demo's and outtakes. Thoughts were that these were 'lost tapes', but amazingly they materialized right in time for the anniversary!
Wait there is more 'handwritten' lyrics to 'God Save The Queen' and a replica 7" and replica posters, sticker and a book of photos and passages. So basically this is a rehash for new fans to get it all in one shot. See, they are more popular than ever.
The best is the DVD compiled by Julian Temple. If you haven't seen 'The Filth and The Fury' you should- its pretty amusing and its interesting to see what was so controversial then is so blase' now. Times change but the Pistols never age. The Box Set is available September 24,
