Neil Young has been fundraising for Bridge School for decades. How appropriate that this year’s headliner is Crosby Stills, Nash and Young. This event is always a sellout. With a headliner like this it should take seconds to do so this year.
The first concert held in 1986 was so well attended it funded the actually construction of the school, which then opened in 1987. Neil Young organizes this acoustic event every year. The mission is to develop and use advanced technology to aid in the instruction of children with disabilities. Lofty goal? Not really. The school is a massive success and on the cutting edge with their learning methods. With most of the funding coming from this annual event.
Another zinger on this is the show follows the recent cancellation of Crazy Horse dates in Europe due to the injury to Poncho Sampedro, guitarist for Neil’s band. Seven stops in Europe and four in the US to be exact. Seeing Neil in the original CSNY line up will get those wallets open. That coupled with the others participating this year. Odd line up for the two day event, that’s for sure.
