Cher is part Cherokee Indian so if ever any one had a reason to rail against Thanksgiving Day it would be Cher, as well as one major arm of the poultry family, who have good reason and then some to be upset with the entire last Thursday in November fiasco.
Cher had this “sic” tweet to say about the day in which Americans celebrate rolling the Native Americans and kicking them in the gutter: “I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving! me & my family, it’s a day, when every1 is free 4 dinner & a movie, not 2 celebrate the beginning of a great crime… Stealing land, from a ppl who believed owning land was like owning sky!”
Bummer Cher, and wow, it is a wonder Cher is even alive because her pop was Armenian, remember them? The Armenians were nearly instinct after the Turks slaughtered TWO MILLION OF THEM. Add to that being married to Sonny for years and you gotta wonder how this wonder of wonders still exists. Hell, she even survived AIDS in the 80s and sure, she isn’t a gay male or an intravenous drug user or a homophiliac, well, she could have been, right?
Me, I love Cher if I don’t have to look or listen to her in 2013, Like, I love her in theory even if in practise you can put the blame for Lady Gaga and Madonna nearby her. Cher has always hit me as a strong, irritating woman.
As for Thanksgiving, I love being with my family much more in theory than in practise. In practise I don’t like too many people around, so what I love most about Thanksgiving is being alone and slaughtering the savage redskins.
