My Fave Tracks, Thursday, December 23rd, 2010 -by Iman Lababedi

1. Punk Rock Girls – The Queers
2. Fuck The World – The Queers – After reforming with a nearly completely new line up in 2010, they rerecorded some of their great punk-pop bands and retain their title as best of the world since the Vandals are no more. Playing Mercury January 22nd. A must see.
3. Ghetto – Ghostface Killah – You can’t mess with Ghostface. Remember when Kid Cudi tried?
4. Breakaway – Ramona – Of all the things that set Ramona apart from the pack, the quality of the songwriting is first and foremost. This is yet another superb New Wave hit single in waiting.
5. Shell Games – Bright Eyes – There is a problem with the song construction. They over play the hook and they miss the build up to explosion towards The break is so good, the melody so sharp, the vocal simply excellent. But  “Everyone on the count of three… altogether now” has the uplift of an anthem but doesn’t play out that way.
6. This Is Country Music – Brad Paisley – A remarkable song: it’s like a fascist masterpiece.
7. Welcome To The World – T.I.
8. The Jam – Larry Graham And The Grand Graham Station – Was I the only one to notice Prince gracefully (he came out for two songs) allowing the genius bassist to blow him off the stage. That set should’ve been on my best live shows of 2010.
9. Whenever – The Black Eyed Peas
10. Christmas In Harlem – Kanye West
