1. California Gurls – Kidz Bop Kid – Here is Dr. Lukes problem: he doesn’t trust himself. He has never found a song he won’t over do, over cook, over hook: he doesn’t trust the audience to meet him half way: he is like “Transformer 2” -never one explosion when six explosions will do. Katy Perry’s version was huge but he sucked because he didn’t do what whoever dumbed it down for Kidz Bop Kids did what needed to be done: he simplified the sludged up sound of a million tracks each with its own hook so you can hear the fucking song.
