$15,000 Woman Amanda Palmer

Some idea are better than others and in the world of pop culture “”Amanda Palmer Performs the Popular Hits of Radiohead on her Magical Ukulele” via Bandcamp is about as good as it goods.
Singer, Musician Palmer self-released the album at a pay as much as you want with the understanding 84 cents goes to Radiohead per EP in royalties.
Palmer sold $15,000 worth of vinyl and mp3s in the first 3 minutes of its release.
This means many things but the most important is a change in the way music is sold more important than radiohead’s In Rainbow or Trent Reznor’s free EP.
Over and above the question of mutual trust -trust that people are willing to pay for what they buy (it is like a leave a penny, take a penny jar, at a deli), the response is just overwhelming for an album which, I paid 84 cents for one track, “Idioteque” and I thought it was fun and interesting, she does play a mean ukelele, but hardly life changing.
So as far as I am concerned people are responding to something as well as the music.
