My Fave Tracks, Friday April 22nd, 2011

1. Missing – Eliza Doolittle – A tuneful remake of the Fleetwoods "Come Softly" with new lyrics, which, miraculously, works quite as well as "Pack Up"

2. Clear the Track – University of St. Mary's Choir – This is so weird, it ties the the charge for black emancipation to a streamrolling train but it is sung by the whitest choir you have ever heard. Melody Ol' Dan T -whatever that means.

3. Where Not To Look For Freedom – The Belle Bridage? Like Fleetwood mac if Lindsay Buckingham wasn't a genius and Christine McVee wasn't a soul singer in disguise.

4. Golden Age – TV On The radio – I could always hear that bass part, but now I am listening sadly.

5. Papi – Jennifer Lopez – Redone, remember that name

6. Beautiful People – chris brown – has this broken pop yet?

7. My Girl – Mindless Behavior

8. Til The World Ends – Britney Spears

9. Prayin' – Plan B – What happens to boy bands when they grow up? They get soulful.

10. Make Some Noise – Beastie Boys – Maybe I'm being too rough on em. I certainly don't want anymore aging rock stars having anervous breakdown on my ass.
