Meet the Outernational of Indie rock, Desaparecidos. You might remember them from Alyson Camus' rave over the summer, they are Conor's agit prop, Mexican based post-hardcore hard rocking troop, around for 2001. Alyson compared em to rage Against The Machine and their only album, the terrific Read Music/Speak Spanish, survives the comparison.
In 2011 they reformed to represent against the Arizona law where people had to have identity on them at all time and released a new single ub April 2012, "MariKKKopa / Backsell" and again, Conor can't help himself, the man breathes melody the way McCartney does.
The band is play on Tuesday, February 24th at Webster Hall, and should certainly be worth a viewing. That Conor is such a talented fellow right, indie pop, agit prop, folk rock, supergroups… hell he even got on stage with Springsteen once. Did you ever seen it? It's hysterical, he didn't know the words to "Thunder Road"! Enjoy…
