Whoa that was close. People almost forgot who Mumford and Son were. Yes, they had their little lion hit but really they haven't had much follow up.
Their performance at The Secret Policemans Ball was happenin' enough but really they sort of dropped the ball. A gimmick band such as they, really should attempt to keep up the momentum if only to pay the rent. I would have expected a mega US tour supporting the single but that simply didn't happen East of the heartland.
A new album is due out in the fall so perhaps this band enjoys touring 'pre' release rather than in support as most due. They aren't horrible they're just odd as are these tour dates.
A couple are free outdoor events and a few are at smaller venues- do they underestimate their following or is it that they realize some people had dropped off the washboard band wagon? No major markets either…Canadaigua NY? Really?
