Morrissey is like the Uncle at Thanksgiving saying he doesn't agree with David Duke but Duke did have some good points.
Only Morrissey doesn't say Duke has some good points, and so does Morrissey. In an interview with the Irish magazine Hot Press he compared the Queen Of England to Gaddafi and Mubarek. I don't see it myself, the Queen holds no power, she doesn't govern, she is a powerless figure head. Indeed, she is the polar opposite to Gaddaffi and Mubarak. Surely the house of Saudi would be a more accurate comparison if the house of Saudi also had no power. Neither Mubarek nor Gaddafi took power through hereditary. Maybe Bashir Assad is closer. But none of them work.
Next, Morrissey hates the Royal Family because he hates birth into privilege, but unless you believe in confiscation by the State -100% death tax, what do you plan to do about birth rights? If you do (and Morrissey may), how do you keep people from hiding their wealth before their death? If you don't, how are the Windsors different?
In other news, Morrissey has announced that his follow up to his whatever 2009 Year Of Refusal is complete though I have no idea how he plans to release it since he has no record contract. If anybody has the sort of following that might allow him to self-release Morrissey does
