More Playlists For A Monday Morning

I woke up from dreaming about my late friend Richard Fantina to discover I had been friended by one of his best friends Joe Kouflie. What upsets me is I could have taken the morning off work and gone and met Richard but… I guess I figured there is always tomorrow. Then I read Mary Magpie’s brilliant post and figure ah what the heck, let’s keep living.

What to do? Have a beer and put a record on of course.

Theme From “Cheers” – Titus Andronicus – I think I’ve run out of words to express my admiration for this song. The best drinking song written by someone not named Paul Linn.
I Do – Screaming Females -Jarrett told us this is an oldie… coulda fooled me.
Today Was A Fairytale – Taylor Swift
Shameless – Bryan Ferry – Ahh, oui, c’est tres beau et tres tres, er, mon stylo est bleu
I Saw The Light – Spoon – Did I mention I bought a tix to their Radio City gig? Went to MSG and I had the same guy as always sell it to me. Grey beard, knows his shit backwards. I asked him about the Clapton-Beck  gig, he sez too expensive and I dropped the subject. That’s what you don’t get from the internet.
Fistful Of Tears – Maxwell
Take Good Care Of My Baby – Bobby Vinton
(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes – Elvis Costello And the Attractions – At Hollywood High and a perfect live version from back when we were all kids. If you only buy one track off the EC livebie let it be this one.
Four Score And Six – Titus Andronicus
Medley (Carole King Style) – Carole King – Off the Living Room Tour album, and breathtakingly brilliant. Reminds me of the ex… it might as well rain unti september.
