More MIA Moaning by Iman Lababedi And Alyson Camus

Iman Sez:
OK a cut and paste job but I do have real problems with MIA because, in fact, and all my rock nyc comrades opinions not withstanding, I truly liked a lot of MIA’s new album.

And it is really about that rather than other stuff, but if she spit on me she’d be one sorry pup.

So as MIA morphs into the Ke$ha of political incorrectness, she keeps on showing up on rock nyc posts. MIA is to hating what KoL is to pigeon poop. The patron saint.

So, cut and paste off NME, here is MIA on Lady Gaga and Oprah:

“Winfrey] made this huge speech at the ball praising Lady GaGa about how she is helping Americans to be the best of themselves,” MIA explained. “There’s millions of other Americans who represent that for me. Is [it] about numbers? About how much you’re selling? Is it truly about the journey? Because [Lady GaGa’s] journey isn’t that difficult: to go from the fucking Upper East Side to a fucking performing arts school and onto a stage at the museum of fucking wherever. That journey’s about four miles.Oprah seemed like she was giving me the cold shoulder. “She was with [David Bowie’s wife] Iman. Iman was always dancing with me, hugging and kissing me, but Oprah seemed really pissed off with me.”

That isn’t me, by the way, I haven’t been married to Bowie in years.

So MIA prolly has a point in all this, but she is such a wretched human being, it is hard to do anything but to tell her to sit on her point and rotate.

Alyson Sez:
Oh M.I.A., M.I.A. how many times are you going to open your big mouth to slash people you are jealous of?

So because Oprah praised Lady Gaga at the Met Ball in New York, you think it is necessary to say mean things about her in an interview with Time Out magazine:

‘She [Oprah] was with Iman [Bowie]. Iman was always dancing with me, hugging and kissing me, but Oprah seemed really pissed off with me. Also she made this huge speech at the ball praising Lady Gaga and about how she [Lady Gaga] is helping Americans to be the best of themselves. There’s millions of other Americans who represent that for me. Is [it] about numbers? About how much you’re selling? Is it truly about the journey? Because [Lady Gaga’s] journey isn’t that difficult: to go from the fucking Upper East Side to a fucking performing arts school and on to a stage at the museum of fucking wherever. That journey’s about four miles.’
nd it is not the first time you attack her, since you declared to NME:

‘[T]here’s Lady Gaga — people say we’re similar, that we both mix all these things in the pot and spit them out differently, but she spits it out exactly the same! None of her music’s reflective of how weird she wants to be or thinks she is. She models herself on Grace Jones and Madonna, but the music sounds like 20-year-old Ibiza music, you know? She’s not progressive, but she’s a good mimic. She sounds more like me than I f—ing do!

That’s a talent and she’s got a great team behind her, but she’s the industry’s last stab at making itself important, saying, ‘You need our money behind you, the endorsements, the stadiums,’ Respect to her, she’s keeping a hundred thousand people in work.’

That’s so condescending!

You also said this:

‘All I’ll say is, it’s upsetting when babies say ‘ga-ga’ now,”It used to be innocent. Now, they’re calling her name.

That’s so stupid! I’m sorry this is plain stupid and such a weak attack!

M.I.A., you get annoyed when Lady Gaga is praised for her originality, you think she mostly borrows from ABBA, and you cannot stand her to be compared to Madonna, because according to you ‘Madonna was truly unique’, does it mean you have set limits? Don’t you have any venom for Madonna?

Everybody borrows from someone anyway, and Madonna did a Saturday Night Live show with Lady Gaga, something you’ll never do, so M.I.A., may be you are just a jealous teenager.
