I have written about Bassnectar a few times over the summer, as I saw him and his bass THUMPIN’ DJ mixes for the first time at AllGood, caught him again at Bisco, and got a small dose at the Zoo this past labor day weekend.
Guess what? More BASS and much more nectar are in my future, since he is coming to The Coastline Convention Center, in downtown Wilmington, this upcoming Tuesday night. Eskmo, Filastine and Wilmington’s own Libraries, will be joining the lineup and helping the party stay alive until 2am. Eskmo and Filastine have been on Bassnectar tour for a while, and Filastine is staying till the end, while Eskmo is headed on Euro trip soon..Luucky.
Libraries the most unknown group in this line up, has the potential to take them through the roof, up to the stars. These guys, consisting of Justin Chillington and Tommy Kitrick, can make a really jammin’ electro song. They mesh the sound of live instruments into their groove so seamlessly, they really have some very unique and great songs. A must listen for any fan of electronic soul, a guaranteed deliver. ‘Birds’ and ‘1988’ are my two favs. Which are yours? http://www.myspace.com/chillingtonbeats
Bassheads of the area will converge once again, this time with enough glow-sticks and dope gear to last a normal person a life time. I’m excited, my friends are excited, my enemies are excited; there are already over 1,100 tickets sold, with 300ish left for sale. Everyone and their mama is going to be thumpin to the bass filled tunes tuesday night, a rockin time and unique experience to say the least.
Big ups to my brothers from other mothers driving into town from MD, ( one extra rad chic too, what up Hono) that will only make it better.
Besides thanking Mr. Nectar for gracing our quaint town with his monumental presence, we must also thank Xandali Productions for putting together such a great show w/ a line up that will go down in history.
See you at the after party, cause during the party its all about the BASS.. and the glow too
