Metallica and Facebook don’t mix.
To update a post I wrote about a few days ago regarding Metallica’s show in Colombia…..
I mentioned that that Colombian police had 4 tanks ready to go in case of any disturbances. Well, there was a major disturbance. About 160 fans who didn’t have tickets to the show tried to crash the concert. Now, you have to wonder how all these people tried at the same to crash the show….hmmmm….does the word social media come to mind? Of course. Reports out of Colombia are pointing to numerous Facebook posts inciting fans to crash the event. About 130 people were arrested. 4 police officers and 4 civilians were injured.
The only tank I recall seeing at the Metallica show at the Nassau Coliseum was the Mister Softie truck.
Can’t we all just get along and enjoy a few hours of great music? What’s wrong with other parts of the world?
