Mayday Parade "Oh Well, Oh Well" Reviewed

Have you ever heard a song that was really good, and you get that feeling in your stomach, that's nearly unexplainable, but it's rarely there and it's the best feeling?

Yeah, I got that when I heard Mayday Parade's new song "Oh Well, Oh Well".  Derek Sanders' voice has definitely matured and gotten better, though it was already great, and the beginning of the song sounds a bit like something that would fit on their album A Lesson In Romantics.  When the slow part is over, there was nothing short of a dance party in my room.  I just keep on playing it.  It's probably the best thing Mayday has ever written.

It has the same catchy fun summery feel they've always had, but this song just steps it up a notch.  The driving beat is addictive, and the guitars, bass, and vocals on top make it the best song I've heard in a while.  The boys have improved their sound, gotten it solid, and there's not a single thing I don't like about this song.  Every second of it is just perfect.

Mayday Parade nailed it.
Don't forget to get their new self titled album on October 4th!
