'May Death Never Stop You' The My Chemical Romance Greatest Hits

the romance never ends

Bands simply cant break up and be done any longer.  Like the friend who says “Im never speaking to you again” and calls two days later, bands break up and never go away.

The splitting halt of My Chem was not a predicted event.  Hiatus maybe, but  break up?  These guys have no other skills, how exactly does one go from arena to unemployment?  It takes a hefty dose of ego to even think you can do something like that.  The emo boys seemed to have it to the brim- cuz they did just that.

Frank Iero was smart enough to quick toss together some guys to keep playing (and wow them at the Skate and Surf Festival) but the rest of them?  Where’d they go?

Frank Iero said: “It was a long time coming. But I didn’t foresee it happening at that moment. The announcement and what happened. It was done for the right reasons. I just wish the timing was a bit different.”He went on to add: “It was sad. But at the same time, it felt like I could breathe a little bit. It was a very strange feeling. To see a large chapter of your life close, it’s a strange feeling. I don’t think we ever had the chance to take a step back and appreciate everything we were doing as we were doing it, though. Now we’ve all had the time to do that. And that’s been really cool.”But I did love Black Parade and I did like some of Killjoys but ‘Greatest’ hits is a pretty grand statement from a band with one great and one OK album.  But the DVD is the clincher.  Why?  Cuz bands like My Chem are known first for being cute- but hey, whatever pays the rent.
