Mary Magpie Wants To Cry

Yes, I am from the music video generation.  I don’t know what life was like without Youtube, or MTV or Fuse.  I was born too late to be cool enough to actually have owned vinyl (though the ‘rents do).  That being said let’s give the music video some credit.  Mini movies with the artists interpretation of their work.  Doesn’t mean I can’t think it out myself but some imagery is quite powerful.
There are some music videos that are so powerful that they basically made me want to cry. Here’s just a small list of those.

1. “Do You Feel”- The Rocket Summer. Some of his songs are enough to make you a bit misty-eyed, and this video is just so inspirational. Beautiful, pure, natural, and powerful. By far my favourite music video of all time.

2. “Tell Me I’m A Wreck”- Every Avenue. The message is fantastic, the song is catchy, and the way everything is conveyed in this video is truly strong.

3. “Famous Last Words”- My Chemical Romance. This band is great and this video is just so wicked and it’s more than inspiring.

4. “Miserable At Best”- Mayday Parade. This song may be old and overplayed but this song is genuinely beautiful and sends a good message.

5. “What A Catch, Donnie”- Fall Out Boy. This video, this song, this band is so inspiring as a whole and this is by far my favourite music video of theirs. I just love the simple yet powerful aspect of it and it’s fantastic.
