Mary Magpie Joins The Black Veil Brides Army, Rock And Shock The Palladium, Worcester, MA , Saturday, October 16th, 2010

So the crowd was filling up with fangirls screaming “BLACK VEIL BRIDES, BLACK VEIL BRIDES” and I couldn’t help getting excited.  The band came out onto the stage but something was obvious- there was a drummer, two guitarists, the singer,…but where was the bassist?  I didn’t see Ashley on the tour bus during the interview, nor on the stage.

BVB led their army in their insanely catchy songs, which were completely flawless.  Their persona was pure and they put on a fantastic show, and pretty much every time Andy made a certain movement or expression, the crowd would scream and scream.  They certainly know how to entertain a crowd.  They carried themselves well and proud, dealing with the haters about ten times better than Motionless In White, appreciative of their fans and feeding off that energy.  They were truly happy and didn’t say “come try me”, they didn’t make a big deal out of the “boooooooooooooooooooooo”s or middle fingers, BVB played their hearts out, there for the diehards.

During “Knives And Pens”, Andy brought a fan up onto the stage, and let her sing the song.  It was cute, and softened their crazy, rock ‘n roll, hardcore image but I found it interesting that they wouldn’t sing their most popular song themselves…

Regardless, they put on an absolutely phenomenal show, were giving it their all, and made me proud to be part of the BVB army.
