Although it is not announced on the festival website yet, Buzzbands.la is saying that Marilyn Manson may be headlining this year Sunset Strip Music Festival!
If it is true – and Buzzbands.la, which is always in the known for these kinds of things, still put a question mark at the end of the title – it’s gonna be big and in the tradition of the previous years, which have seen the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Mötley Crüe, The Smashing Pumpkins, Slash, Public Enemy,…etc
It is gonna be the fifth Sunset Strip Music Festival and will be held on August 16, 17 and 18, featuring performances on outdoors stages as well as in several famous venues along the strip, such as The Key Club, Roxy Theater, Whiskey A Go-Go, Viper Room and House of Blues.
I have recently read that Manson is expecting his dressing room painted black and kept at 10ºC (about 50 ºF), so this freezing temperature in the middle of August in Los Angeles is gonna be a challenge for SSMF organizers! Now if they could give me a press pass…
