Ludwig Von Beethoven Letter of Discontent

German composer Ludwig van Beethoven is a big baby.  A rare note has been discovered  whose content includes Ludwig complaining about illness and lack of money.

The Brahms Institute says this SIX PAGE letter is an attempt to sell “Missa Solemnis” the 1823 mass

In the letter, Beethoven asks harpist and composer Franz Anton Stockhausen to help find advance buyers for the mass.

"My low salary and my illness demand efforts to make a better fortune," said Beethoven.  I feel ya bro.

At the end, he wrote "all letters to me need nothing more than "To L. v. Beethoven in Vienna," where I receive everything."

What a doomy dude.  The letter includes that he needs money to assist in paying his nephews education, how sweet is that?  Buy my mass I need the cash, coulda been the slogan- then again he didn’t know me.

"The bequest is of extraordinary historic value — a piece of luck for the Brahms Institute. The value of the Beethoven letter is valued at over 100,000 $127,400," said Institute head Wolfgang Sandberger.  A six word shopping list fetched over 6000 Euro-so this is a killer.

"Beethoven was not a composer with beautiful handwriting. It is spontaneous and he wrote things, then crossed them out, his thoughts changed as he went on and that is the impression the letter gives,"  His letters are rare and the length of this one, with the insight it gives into his personal life, make it very interesting indeed,"

The Brahms Institute will put the letter on show from next week
