Back in my younger-younger days, I was sent the song "Lua" by Bright Eyes for review. When I first listened to it, I had little to no patience or interest for slower, more meaningful songs and artists.
To stop beating around the bush, I bashed it to pieces and now regret it.
It's pretty much one of my favourite songs of all time and I wouldn've seen that earlier if I had just listened to the wonderful words. It's not only heartfelt and beautiful, but it really resonates and is inspirationally perfect.
"Lua" is an absolute masterpiece and is truly one of the best songs I've ever heard. Every thing about it is perfect, and there's so much passion that it's nearly unfathomable. It nearly brings tears to my eyes each time I listen to it, and it's worthy of everyone's attention. I can't believe that I didn't realize how great it was before.
The lyrics are so ridiculously amazing that it makes you just want to hear them over and over again, with the gentle guitar and Oberst's whispery yet strong voice makes it driving and attention grabbing, yet still calm and emotional.
It's a perfect song. I retract all previous statements on it. I clearly didn't know what I was talking about.
