Loser/Winner – Bon Jovi – This tour, Jon Bon Jovi overreached. With Richie in rehab, he stuck his paid lackeys -some of whom have been with him for 30 years and are still just paid employees, and ran off on a stadium tour that ended with one of the worst concerts Jon has probably ever played, I guess Jon suffer s froma fear of people having fun. but this dreary two hour plus set was a disaster from one end to the other. But, on the winner side, he did invite Peter Wolf and the J. Geils band to open and gave em a comfortable hour in chich to play in.
Winner/Loser – And play Peter did, for about an hour the 67 year old lead singer dashed from one end of the stage to another, a lithe, athlectic, spiders web of a performance impressive at any age. Much more into it and much more able to play it like he means it. Hey maybe the blues helps. But loser wise? can you believe the J. Geils band wouldn’t let J. Geils himself go on tour with the band that bears his name? It’s all true.
