1. Remember Me – Diana Ross – Having just seen Valerie Simpson live Friday night, and discovering Diana was somewhere in the audience, I went back to this masterpiece from 1970. A stirring Motown giant of a song, "Remember me as a big balloon at a carnival that ended too soon". RIP Nick – Grade: A+

2. The Old Grey Hat – Jack Phillips – Ragtime re write of  "The Bare Necessities" – Grade: A

3. Ain't Nothing Like The Real Things – Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terril – Everybody on the planet has covered this song at least once – Grade: A

4. I Need A Man – Lael Summer – Funkalicious – Grade: A

5. Wintertime Love – The Doors – When I wondered why my niece Louba wanted this to be her wedding song, she noted it was a waltz after all – Grade: B+

6. Thunderbolt – Eugene McGuinness – One of the best arranged songs I've heard all year, the drum roll that spearheads it is so great and the orchestra that takes over a real surprise – Grade: A

7. I Saw It With My Own Two Eyes – Drunken Prayer – A  folk pop pretty bob bob – Grade: B+

8. In My Trunk – Dev, 2 Chainz – Pretty good house – Grade: B+

9. Hungover And Horny – Diamond Rugs – You could throw away the song and play the title… but you don't have to – Grade: B+

10. Standing On A Curb – Spider Bags – Is the best thing on the album? Of course… but what isn't? Grade: A+
