1. Pack Up – Eliza Doolittle – When last seen, Eliza was singing at a Coca Cola sponsored Olympic torch relay campaign to find young people to carry the torch… which I do for one of the best of the chick Brit pop stars out there. Grade: A

2. Rotten Apple – Screaming Females – This hugely distinctive hard rock band are one of a handful who don't actually need the Steve Albini. They get it any way – Grade: A-

3. Let's Go feat Ne-Yo – I like Calvin and I like Ne-Yop, but this is a little uninspired – Grade: B

4. Burn It Down – Linkin Park – Intense and dreary, just like everything else they've done – Grade: B-

5. Paradise (Tiesto remix) – Coldplay – Useless remix by the overestimated DJ and still better than the original – Grade: B-

6. Strangers – Lotus Plaza – Deerhunter leader gazes at his guitar, his guitar gazes back – Grade: B+

7. Into The Night – The Raveonettes The usual garage-y buzz rock produced inside a swimming pool – Grade: B+

8. He (Eponymous) Poor Boy – Jack Whites – With its "stripes" snide, probably a diss of his first ex-wife. This makes 2 for 3 if you're keeping track at home – Grade: B+

9. Chasing The sun – The Wanted – Not that I'm the target demo, but i prefer One Direction – Grade: C

10. All In the Family – Loudon Wainwright – Jesus, when are they gonna get a family crescent? – Grade: C
