Listen To Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's Phenomenal New Song, 'Rival'

I saw them at this Sound City Players marathon concert, and they basically stole the show! It’s simple, I shot quite a few videos during the 3 hours and half performance, but my Black Rebel Motorcycle Club one was watched ten times more than any of the other ones! They were only two, with Dave Grohl on drums, but they rocked out the Palladium with some really loud and plain mean tunes.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club has a new track online called ‘Rival’, which give us a preview of their upcoming and seventh studio album ‘Specter At The Feast’ due on March 18th (UK/Europe), and March 19th (US, Canada, Everywhere else).

And ‘Rival’ doesn’t disappoint at all! I can’t hardly imagine how this beast is gonna sound live! This loud, hard-charging bluesy jam jumps at your throat and eardrums from start to finish, blasting your mind open, as if it wanted to convince everyone that rock’ n’ roll is very well alive. ELLE had the exclusivity of the song, and drummer Leah Shapiro explained how the song came up: ‘We were in the rehearsal studio in L.A.., and we were stuck working on arrangements for some other song. And out of the blue [guitarist] Peter [Hayes] started playing the riff for ["Rival"]. It was pretty much written off the bat there. It came out of the blue.’

You can stream the song below, but BRMC actually already did play it live, last year, at the Troubadour in Los Angeles among other places. Like so many other fans, I missed them as the show got instantaneously sold out,… of course! But don’t miss them this time, since they are about to tour North America starting next month:
