Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe, under arrest for manslaughter due to the death of an audience member in Prague, 2010, has been in a Czech jail since June, gave an interview to Czech tabloid, Blesk.
I got this off Gigwise.com: "I remember very few details about he show, mainly because I have played a lot of concerts.
"I just remember that the stage at the club was very small, and we barely managed to fit our equipment on there. Also, apparently there was a security guard there because many people climbed onto the stage — including one small boy, in particular, but I could be mixing up details with what happened at other clubs."
Blythe added that it was difficult for him to see as he does not wear his glasses on stage, so everything appeared quite blurry. However, he maintained his innocence, going on to say: "In any case, I did not attack anyone.
"The only way I could have come into contact with anyone from the audience was if I was protecting myself from [people bumping into me when climbing on the stage]."
Blythe also spoke about his lack of understanding of the Czech legal system. He said that he had expected to have been released after paying a $125,000 bond for bail.
He said: "In terms of justice, I honestly do not know what to expect because it is different than the U.S. I thought that if I made bail, I would be released."
I took a look at Czech law and it seems pretty good to me. I mean it isn't the 1960s and the USSR are not holding Randy prisoner in a check move with the USA. Plus, the US have a great relationship, the Czech army is fighting side by side with the US in Afghanistan. So I would guess some stuff is being done behind the scene. Meanwhile, there is a March on DC tomorrow, demanding Randy's release.
