Lady Gaga firing her director Laurieann Gibson

Never, ever dare mentioning Madonna if you work for Lady Gaga, or it may cost you your job! This is what happened to Gaga’s longtime creative director Laurieann Gibson over the weekend.

According to the LA Times, during an interview they did with her last May, Gibson declared the following when asked about the usual comparison of Lady Gaga to Madonna:
‘Gibson said that Madonna "should be bitter, because I did it on purpose, and you can quote me. I did it on purpose because for all those kids who believe that you can’t, I wanted to let them feel that you can. And that’s what I represent, that’s what Gaga represents.”

This was picked up by a lot of websites and blogs, which led people to say that she was copying Madonna, which led fans to attack the director on twitter, and which led to the firing.

There was already some trouble since the making of the music video for Judas, as Gibson was uncomfortable with the religious imagery used for the clip,… so this feud has been building up for some time.

Everybody can see Gaga has been copying Madonna for the beginning, it’s so obvious there is no need for any other explanation, every time she is doing something, a song or a video, people compare her to the material girl.

But you know how Lady Gaga is big on bullying and declared she was herself bullied at school, and how deeply she was affected by the experience? In a recent interview, Madonna told Bazaar magazine about her experience in high school:
‘I knew I couldn't fit into that. So I decided to do the opposite. I refused to wear makeup, to have a hairstyle. I refused to shave. I had hairy armpits’. The young Madonna was ‘tortured.’ ‘The boys in my school would make fun of me, Hairy monster’

She was bullied too and even used the word 'monster'? It is difficult to determine who is copying whom these days!

By the way, the LA Times is reporting that Gibson has already been replaced by Richard Jackson, who was Gibson's second in command.
