Wonders never cease and our infatuation with the 'lifestyles of the rich and famous are never ending. We will pony up the cash or follow the tabloids or literally stalk to find out how the other side lives. Rock stars, well they have it worse.. If they arent smashing TV's or drunk and disorderly what are they doing? We want our scandal and we want our dirt and hey.. if the artist is going to write it first hand, all the better.
Peter Criss is the drummer/catman from the band KISS. Safe behind the kit he has watched the nonsense of Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley and Ace Frehley quietly enough but in his book, Makeup To Breakup: My Life In And Out Of KISS," he gets his say. Of course I have no idea why anyone would have interest in his life 'outside' of KISS but I suppose there are some.
The book has debuted on the New York Times Hardcore Nonfiction Best Sellers list landing in the number 7 position, the third highest entry of the week. There was a major storm though so only half of New York was able to read, the rest were salvaging their lives.
That being said we must give props to KISS and its members. They have survived decades of change yet haven't strayed from their place in all that time. Same band, same sound same silliness. I presume there are some wild stories in this book and you can preview it on Amazon right now. Click here
I'm tellin' ya, its the quiet ones you have to watch out for.
