KISS is on tour with Motley Crue. Theyre going to wrap that up in Hartford CT on September 23, but I will not be in attendance. Its not that I have anyrthing against eitehr band, its just not my scene.
I am rather dismayed about KISS and their never ending swag production. If you are looking for anything from a toaster to a thong- you can get it with teh KISS logo on it. Its genius and its annoying. The die hard fan must roll in it happy as can be- but for the rest of the free world its an odd obsession. The fact is it earns money and the memebers of the band honestly are set for life as are their spawn and their spawns spawn.
Seeing Gene Simmons room on the show "Family Jewels" he seems to be a collector first class, of his own stuff Being the sharp business man that he is, he must analyze what the market needs-in doing so he must have assessed that there needs to be more KISS action figures. Cuz here they come.
Figures Toy Company is about to introduce KISS Series 2 figures, reminiscent of the action figures first released in 1977-1978 by the Mego Toy Company. These figures will have rooted hair, cloth clothing, 16 points of articulation and are based on the KISS ’ 1974 self-titled debut album.
"I never understood why 8 inch KISS action figures were not produced back in the 1970's when The Mego Toy Company had already released the 12 inch versions,” says Figures Toy Company CFO Anthony Balasco. “Our second release will have the retro look from the 1970's but updated with more detailed costumes. Future releases will cover all time periods in KISS s 40 year musical career from 1972 to 2012".
I want the fat balding KISS 65+ version, let me know when thats out.
