Kill Me Now

I have just heard Glee 2 and whatever it might be as culture, or coolness, or a TV show, as music it is an abomination. It is a good thing neither Fogerty nor Tina Turner are dead because they would be somersaulting in their graves..

There is a million miles of difference between covering Broadway and Beatles and Glee cover none of it. Look at it this way: “Endless Love” always sucked but this SUCKED. “Jump” was a great song in the mid-eighties, gave Lee Roth a career, this version… I dunno, it’s so terrible I might appear to be exagerating. It’s not thar it doesn’t have a heart – it never did- it doesn’t have a pulse. And is that the worst guitar solo in the world. Like ever. Who mixed it??? Ugh ugh and fucking ugh.

I feel like a traitor to the cause, I believe in popularity as a matter of form. I almost called this blog “reviews by a populist”. I believe that cream will rise to the top. But -this is horrendous. How can you kill Lily Allen (a terrible “Smile”). how can you kill every single song except Broadway show tunes?

Exceptions?  Before mentioned “Don’t Rain On My Parade” and the choir on “Can’t Always get What You Want”.

Figures right?
