Ke$ha to “resurrect rock & roll”? I doubt it

You’ve allheard one of Ke$ha’s blaring pop tunes at least once in the past couple of years.  In fact, anyone with access to radio, television, or internet in the past two years has heard Ke$ha’s own brand of pop music.

Therefore you will be able to empathize when I say that Ke$ha’s so called goal of having her next album bring rock & roll to the fore front of modern music is just plain unattainable. Said Ke$ha in a recent interview with MTV News, “…people say that rock and roll is dead, and it is my mission and my goal to resurrect it in the form of my pop music.”

Speaking ofher music, Ke$ha’s two albums, Animal (2010) and Cannibal (2011), stayed at the top of many a music chart during the past two years and it’s no wonder why. This party girl’s music has infectious beats that annoy the best of us and ensnare the lesser of us; or the drunker of us. As such, her albums were extremely popular, essentially leading to Ke$ha owning the radio waves. Her single “Blow” is literally all I heard during this past summer.

It was a basic club beat with, oh, 4 or 5 different lyrics, and generic synthesized rhythms. That kind of music just doesn’t get blended with rock & roll.  Because of this, I know her next album will be another badly auto-tuned, and poorly produced, generic pop album. Maybe there will be more guitar solos. One can only hope.
