It’s a shame no one uses stamps anymore. I remember back when, when they sucked. You had to be the king of the nerds to be a stamp collector and the foreign ‘par avion’ stamps were so cool and exotic.
The US Postal service is hanging by a thread. Thank you Mr. Snow and Sleet but we no longer need you when we can have quite literally anything delivered to our computer screen in a split of the time.
Stamps got cooler over the years, fun characters and celebs but really they’re there to have a wavy line stamped on them and bam they’re done. So it surprises me that they even bother to introduce new one. Must cost a pretty penny and well who’s buying?

Just because I can, I will say that Morrissey is honored with a PETA stamp. I don’t have one nor have I ever seen one outside the news but who cares- it exists. He’s a vegetarian- and he’s a babe.
Anyway, Johnny Cash has his own stamp now and unlike Morrissey’s 44 cents, Cash has the ‘Forever’ stamp so its good no matter what the rate rises too. As if you’d use it anyway. I don’t even recall the last time I used a stamp anyway. I like the photo though, it’s from a promotional shot for the 1963 album Ring of Fire: The Best of Johnny Cash.
Members of the Cash family and friends are gathering tonight at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville to celebrate the release and the Cash legacy. Performers include Randy Travis, Marty Stuart, Larry Gatlin, the Oak Ridge Boys, Jamey Johnson, the Roys and Cash’s brother and sister Tommy Cash and Joanne Cash Yates
