You know how I feel about rockers endlessly recycling their moldy oldies? Well, that doesn’t apply to either led Zeppelin or John’s boy Jason Bonham at all because:
1. Led Zep haven’t come close to exploiting their songbook
2. They won’t tour.
3. Every single one of their albums could do with the box set treatment and so far? Zip.
4. How The West Was Won is the best triple live set ever. I could do with lots more.
5. Live At The BBC is just completely brilliant beyond belief.
6. Led Zep drummer John Bonham died in 1980 leaving baby Jason Bonham fatherless but not friendless. At the Led Zep one night reunion in London last yeat? Jason played drums.
7. And so, with every right in the world, Jason is taking the “Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Experience” on the road for 30 dates to commeorate 30 years since John’s death.
8. Here are the local dates:
11/02 – Boston, MA @ The Orpheum
11/03 – Red Bank, NJ @ Count Basie Theater
11/04 – Englewood, NJ @ Bergen PAC
11/06 – Philadelphia, PA @ Merriam Theater
11/08 – New York, NY @ Nokia Theatre
