Jani Lane, former singer of the rock band Warrant, was found dead at the Comfort Inn hotel in Woodland Hills, CA, on Thursday evening.
He was part of the generation of glam metal and fans will remember his biggest hits, ‘Cherry Pie’, ‘Heaven’, and ‘Sometimes She Cries, he had with Warrant before leaving the band to pursue a solo career.
The cause of death is not known yet and is currently investigated by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, but Lane had a history of alcohol-related issues, as in 2010 he was arrested for his second DUI in two years.
Lane was only 47.
