Billboard magazine is reporting that we finally may have solved Tupac Shakur’s 1994 assault which almost cost the life of the famous rapper! James Rosemond aka Jimmy Henchman, has admitted his involvement in the attack at New York’s Quad Recording Studios.
According to an article by Chuck Philips for the Village Voice, Rosemond has been denying his involvement for 20 years, but now new evidence implicates him in the crime, and he also secretly admitted his involvement during special proffer sessions with the government in which ‘suspects under investigation choose to enter an agreement with the government to confess knowledge of certain crimes with the agreement that the information won't be used to prosecute them.’
The truth actually came out during another trial, as Rosemong was also involved in multimillion-dollar drug trafficking between Los Angeles and New York. He came clean after his ex-friend Dexter Isaac confessed the following:
‘In 1994, James Rosemond hired me to rob 2Pac at the Quad Studio. He gave me $2,500, plus all the jewelry I took, except for one ring, which he wanted for himself. It was the biggest of the two diamond rings that we took. He said he wanted to put the stone in a new setting for his girlfriend at the time, Cynthia Reed. I still have as proof the chain that we took that night in the robbery.’
Ironically ,if Rosemond may go to jail for his drug traffic conviction, he will not be charged for his role in the attack on Tupac, which was classified as a robbery; and since in NY the statute of limitations on robbery is 7 years, this means it is now too late!
The Village Voice’s Chuck Philips has been investigating Tupac’s murder for a long time, and also reported that Tupac recorded a song ‘Against All Odds’ in which he accused Rosemond of orchestrating the assault.
Now, is this the same guy who orchestrated Tupac’s murder in Las Vegas?
