Jahn Xavier released Yes, You and we
published this photo spread of fans pictured with the album cover. Since then Jahn has received more pictures and we have updated the spread.
As we eagerly await the bands September 14th concert at Arlene’s Grocery here is the initial text along with the complete (so far) Yes, You picture gallery!
“Yes, You is the agit-prop soul stunner of the Summer; bubbling in the background of the collective subconscious, it took the world one listener at a time, until one fan after another was reached and transformed. I know that sounds overblown and I know “I Still Yearn” sounds overblown, but really, it is simply the truth and the proof as to how Yes, You, took over all we fans is here in these pictures. First Andrea Kleiman and then Geoff Green, took pictures of themselves with the CD cover (it still isn’t available on digital) and they were followed by Emily Duff and then the deluge. Friends and fans bought Yes, You and posted pictures of themselves with it. Including myself! Sure, the reason is because the album is terrific and since it hasn’t reached the mainstream yet, it is great and it is a secret so that’s one reason so many people wanted to share about it. It made you a member of an exclusive club. But two other reasons.
1. Jahn is the sort of man you want to be there to represent for.
2. The cover is just gorgeous –a Blue Note vision of simplicity. Oh and another, “Yes, You” is such a positive, all inclusive, you want to be a part of the club because you are a part of the club.
