Jack's Mannequin is streaming their new song "Television". I decided to give it a listen. I hadn't really listened to them in a while so I was anxious to hear something new.
Oh my God. Andrew McMahon's voice is so beautiful. The tune really accentuates his range and shows that he's matured as an artist. He's probably on my list of top 10 vocalists. The song has a really great buildup. I was sitting on the edge of my seat listening. I could see it being the opening track to a movie, or at least part of a soundtrack. The sound is so pure and there's not a second I don't enjoy.
The song really resonates and sits well. It's my favourite Jack's Mannequin tune since "Bruised". Each element fits together perfectly, creating a flawless blending of gorgeous instruments to create, in short, a fantastic song. It's the best I've heard in a while. I'm so excited for when the album People And Things comes out on October 4th!!
