About two weeks ago, Jack White decided to attach 1,000 vinyl singles of his song ‘Freedom at 21’ to helium balloons and release them in the Nashville sky, a funny move for a guy who kind of dresses up like Willy Wonka!
Anyway, as expected, some kid found the golden ticket and put it on sale on eBay, and the highest bid for one of these things was $4,100.00 when I looked at it on Monday!
Isn’t it insane? Whoever you are bidding on this, do you realize what you could do with $4,000?? The irony is that ‘Freedom at 21’ is the third song of White’s upcoming album ‘Blunderbuss’, that can now be streamed in its entirety on iTunes, although technically the vinyl version should be different.
Furthermore, the song ‘Freedom at 21’ is now available on soundcloud (which sounds like a rip of the vinyl version), and you can listen to it below,.. for free!
