The news is not good for Whitney Houston’s only daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. The Daily Beast is reporting that several hours after the funeral, she was found at a hotel getting high, according to a source close tothe family, and the incident was confirmed by a second source who was told by amember of the family. The family is denying of course, but a family friend even said Bobbi entered rehab early last year.
‘It’s a horrible situation for everybody, they tried to save Whitney, and it didn’t work. Now with Bobbi Kristina, they fear the same thing is happening again and they won’t be able to stop it either. Bobbi Kristina is all Ms. Cissy has left of Whitney. She’s so tired, but she’s ready to fight again to save her grandbaby,’ said a close family friend.
As the child of two drug users, used to this night-club-party life, I wonder whether the poor kid has any choice. If we area total product of our genes and environment, she does not get a chance.
All anti-drug campaigns present drugs as the worst things inthe world, but everyone knows that demonizing them has never stopped people using, and if there were a thing that could cure anyone from using drugs, don’t you think that witnessing your mother's drug-related death would be that thing? What stronger message can you receive?

Sure, some people manage to kick their addiction, but others never overcome it, and modern science has a tendency to demonstrate that, despite the fact that everyone believes in free will, there are too many other things that control us, from genes to brain mechanisms, to unconscious processes, to environmental factors and past events. If you read neuroscientists, free will may well be a total illusion anyway, addicted or not, but I digress.
This is bad news for Bobbi Kristina, let’s hope she will be one of these people who manage to kick their bad habit.
