Helen Bach had written a hit job on Bob Seger's induction into the songwriting hall of fame. After the typical nasty responses from fans, Helen asked for a one of them to write a rebuttal. Here is a response n left for us in comments. Rosalie Eldorado? A pseudonym is my bet! -rock nyc
Bob Seger is very deserving and long overdue to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
You don’t have to worry about the health of Bob Seger fans. In fact, over half a million of Bob’s fans rocked out to his tour in 2011 (ranging from toddlers to octogenarians). Lots of teens and 20-somethings rockin’ out to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band’s no frills, no gimmicks, old school concert pure rock and roll last year and, hopefully, we will have another tour later this year or early 2013 when Bob Seger completes the album he is currently working on. Shocker…..no video screens either at Seger concerts!!!! Even your beloved Bruce got up on stage with Bob Seger at MSG in December!
Maybe there is hope for you, too? If you gauge Bob Seger’s vast, record-holding catalogue of music by just one of his most recognizable songs alone, you are surely missing a treasure trove of Bob’s lyrics and music. Dig deeper. Bob Seger’s songs run the gamut of emotions.
I respectfully recommend some Seger healin’ for you, Ms. Bach, and maybe you will surprise yourself and will be hummin’ a song from 1962 next time you awaken to thunder (or maybe not) but take that chip off your shoulder for a little while and give a listen.

Back in the 1960s, as a young man, Bob Seger wrote one of the first and best anti-Vietnam war protest songs. 2 + 2 = ?
