78-year-old Yoko Ono is asking that on Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. EDT, people “take a moment to imagine a nourished and abundant world, where ‘the world will live as one.’“
Pretty wordy stuff for a global awareness raising day. Hard Rock International and WhyHunger are two organizations that are collaborating with Ono on the event. Various Hard Rock locations will host events on that day aimed at raising awareness and of course, the infamous rubber bracelet will be sold to raise funds for the cause.
Other details are rather sketchy at this point which leads me to believe its still in the planning stages. There is awareness, the bracelet and people can also text the word “Imagine” to 50555 to donate.
More details should be forthcoming (and should be) but at this point all we know is at 1pm on November 1st we're supposed to imagine there is no hunger.
