I was looking forward to seeing the bar band uber alles Ike reilly Assassination tonight at Mercury Lounge. coming off Hard Luck Stories -which I love and Nessing hates, the band seems ready to break somehow outta their good will and lotsa interest but can’t get to the next stage position.
Unfortunately for me at 53 they don’t get on stage till 1130pm (opening act Hollis brown at 1030p -I wonder if the roots rock band will do some Dylan covers?). Way after my past due date so if I can’t find a way to kill five hours after work I may have to skip it or the review will be just me sleeping.
But, Nessing’s opinion not withstanding, I recommend it!!! Be there, you young hipster you…
