I Won’t Take Advise From Fools: Marshall Crenshaw Shuffle

I need no excuse to obsess about Marshall Crenshaw. I edit a music website for precisely the excuse to scream and shout about how perfect this fella is. I mean why bother having a music website if you can’t worship at the alter of the greatest pop star of my generation (or yours by the way).
So I’ll stick in the Buddy Holly of the 80s 90s and 00s and see what I get:

Till I hear It From You – Written with the Gin Blossoms, I asked MC to play this at a concert once and he said he couldn’t remember the words. “I’ll keep thinking everything is cool…”

The Distance Between – This is supposedly where he lost his touch. Yeah, right.

Television Light – “Fellow students” – the live one at the stone pony in case im being too obscure.

Look At  What I Almost Missed – Very early, and he already has the harmonies arranged.

Who Stole That Train – By here people stopped paying the attention they shoulda -this chugs fabulous and me and my niece Louba were still rolling.

Walk Away, Renee – I’m gonna send this to Nessing right now

Whatever The Wind Blows – How great is this. Kelly Willis covered it that’s how great it is.

Better Back Off – Best Stones quote ever.

Right There In Front Of Me – OK, I cheated!!! I WORSHIP this song, A pop prince, no excuses, no nothing just a total addictive hit to the sound plexus. Takes my senses straight to paradise.
